Hi, I’m SHERRY Jones.
A Life Rooted in Birth Work
I come from a family of birthworkers, and that lineage has shaped me deeply. Growing up, I witnessed the kind of care that helps families truly thrive—care rooted in compassion, patience, and a deep respect for the transformative journey of pregnancy and birth. Those values became part of who I am and continue to guide the way I support families today.
The spirit of service I saw modeled in my family naturally led me toward working with children and families. Before becoming a Los Angeles birth doula, I worked as a preschool teacher, nanny, and outdoor educator. These experiences deepened my understanding of child development and the importance of nurturing environments where both parents and children can grow, feel supported, and flourish.
My Work as a Birth & Postpartum Doula
I have been attending births in the Los Angeles area since 2015, supporting families in homes, hospitals, and birth centers. As a birth and postpartum doula, my role is to offer steady guidance, emotional support, and practical education so families can approach pregnancy, labor, and early parenthood feeling informed and confident.
My training blends formal education with years of apprenticeship alongside modern and traditional midwives and healers in the United States, Mexico, and India. These experiences have shaped a holistic approach to birth support that honors both evidence-based care and ancestral wisdom.
I am a Spanish-speaking doula support for bilingual and Spanish-speaking families.
I believe that supporting birthing people and families is the way we support children, family, and community.
Pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are powerful transitions. My work weaves together childbirth education, postpartum support, breastfeeding guidance, yoga, Ayurvedic practices, nutrition, and integrative bodywork. This blend allows me to support families through pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and the early weeks with a newborn in a way that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit.
Birth is more than a medical event—it is a deeply human experience. My role is to help you feel informed, supported, and connected to your own intuition as you move through this transformative time.
My Holistic Approach
to Birth & Family Support
Supporting Families, Strengthening Community
When we care for parents during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, we are caring for entire communities. Supporting families in this season of life helps create stronger foundations for children, relationships, and the generations that follow.
Whole-Person Care
Birth touches every part of life—body, mind, and spirit. My approach blends practical support, education, and holistic practices so families can move through pregnancy and early parenthood with more confidence, ease, and connection.
Curiosity, Respect & Informed Choice
Every family’s journey is different. I approach my work with curiosity, deep respect, and a collaborative spirit—helping families explore their options, make informed decisions, and discover the path that feels right for them.
I am a lover of life, children, women, art, play, nature.
I am an advocate of love, patience, justice, and peace. I am a believer that women are the most powerful creatures in existence and are a direct link to all that is divine. I am a goddess of light and offer space to women to connect with their inherent wisdom, and their child-like energy. Women are the connection of the universe through life.
... whose goal is to encourage, inspire, guide, and connect women to their ultimate vision of birth through education, yoga, prayer, food, laughter, love, and exploration.
I am a seeker with spirit...
...who believes in eating from the earth and using food as medicine to provide nutrients to the body and soul.
I am a certified nutritional guide...
